TerraMow Robotic Lawn Mowers
TerraMow uses pure vision navigation. There is no boundary wire to bury and no RTK antenna to mount, because the mower reads the lawn with cameras and works out where the grass ends on its own.
That matters most at setup. Wire-based mowers need a perimeter installed before first use, and RTK systems need satellite reception and a reference station. A vision mower is closer to unbox and run.

Is Vision Navigation Right for Your Lawn
- Setup is the main advantage. No wire to lay, no perimeter to dig in, and no reference station to position. For most gardens that removes the hardest part of owning a robot mower.
- It reads boundaries visually. The mower distinguishes lawn from path, bed and driveway by sight, which handles soft or curved edges that a wire has to approximate.
- Obstacle avoidance is built in. Cameras that detect the lawn edge also detect toys, hoses and pets, so the same system serves both jobs.
- Light conditions matter. Vision systems depend on seeing the lawn. Very low light or deep shade affects them differently to satellite systems, which is worth considering for a heavily wooded garden.
- Check the coverage rating. Match the rated lawn area to yours. Coverage, cutting height range and slope rating are all on the product page.
- Compare against RTK for large or complex plots. Wire-free satellite navigation suits very large properties with multiple zones. Vision suits typical residential lawns where quick setup matters more.

Does TerraMow need a boundary wire?
No. It uses vision to identify the lawn and its edges, so there is no perimeter wire to install.
How is vision navigation different from RTK?
RTK uses satellite positioning and usually needs a reference antenna with a clear sky view. Vision reads the lawn with cameras. Vision is simpler to set up; RTK is generally preferred on very large or multi-zone properties.
Will it avoid obstacles left on the lawn?
Obstacle detection is part of the same camera system. As with any mower, clearing large items before a run is still sensible.
What size lawn can it handle?
Coverage area is listed on the product page. Match it to your actual lawn size rather than your plot size, since beds and paths do not count.
