Description
The CHASING CanFish Fishing CamX is a castable underwater fishing camera designed to record what happens around your lure. The streamlined camera captures 1080p video through a wide 136° lens, stores footage internally, and transfers recordings wirelessly when the receiver is back above water.
CamX is made for anglers who want to review strikes, follows, lure action, bottom structure, and fish behavior without operating a tethered underwater drone.
How CamX Works
- Charge the camera wirelessly and confirm available storage.
- Rig it according to the current CHASING instructions and the tackle weight appropriate for your setup.
- Cast or lower it into the water; recording is stored on the camera while submerged.
- Retrieve the camera and bring its receiver above water before using wireless transfer.
- Review, save, and share clips through the supported workflow.
CamX does not provide a live underwater feed while submerged. Water blocks the wireless signal, so footage is viewed after retrieval.
What’s Included
CanFish CamX camera, wireless charging equipment, and the standard rigging and connection accessories specified by CHASING. Fishing line, rod, reel, lure, terminal tackle, and mobile device are not included unless explicitly stated.

Compatibility & Add-ons
Use tackle appropriate for the combined camera, rig, lure, and expected fish load. Confirm line strength and rigging before every cast. CamX is a self-contained recording camera and is not compatible with CHASING ROV tethers, controllers, grabbers, or industrial expansion tools.
Setup & Use
Inspect the housing and attachment points before each trip. Secure the camera exactly as directed, keep the receiver orientation correct, and avoid casting near people, boats, power lines, rocks, or other hazards. Rinse with fresh water after saltwater use and dry completely before charging or storage.
Shipping & Support
Ships new with the standard CHASING CanFish CamX kit. The Robot Direct provides U.S.-based product-fit assistance and post-purchase support. Recorded results vary with visibility, depth, water movement, lighting, and rigging.
