Description
The CHASING DORY Explore Underwater Drone with Metal Detector combines a compact 1080p underwater camera with a purpose-built metal detector and retrieval net. It is designed for recreational exploration in pools, calm lakes, sheltered shorelines, and other appropriate clear-water environments.
Use the live-view buoy and Bluetooth controller to pilot the drone, locate small metal objects, and retrieve lightweight finds. The system records footage to the buoy’s built-in 16 GB storage.

Compatibility & Add-ons
DORY Explore uses its supplied detector, net, tether, buoy, and controller as an integrated recreational system. Professional CHASING ROV tools and industrial grabbers are not intended for this model. Verify any replacement cable, charger, or mounting accessory specifically for DORY Explore.
Setup & Use
- Charge the drone, controller, and supported surface equipment.
- Connect the tether securely and keep the buoy and mobile device above water.
- Test the camera, controls, detector, and retrieval net at the surface.
- Operate only in appropriate water with a clear recovery path; avoid strong current, entanglement hazards, and restricted areas.
- Rinse and dry the drone and attachments after use, especially after saltwater exposure.
