Yarbo Review 2026: Price, Models and Is It Worth It?

Short answer: Yarbo is a modular, tracked yard robot. One base (the Core) carries swappable modules for mowing, snow blowing, leaf blowing and trimming, so a single machine can work your property in every season. In this Yarbo review we compare the models, prices and real requirements so you can decide if it fits your home. For most buyers in snow country, our top pick is the Yarbo Y40 Mower Pro + Snow Blower Bundle, because it covers the two jobs that take the most time each year. If you only need winter help right now, the Yarbo Y40 Snow Blower Robot is the simplest starting point, and you can add modules later.

This is a spec and buyer's guide, not a hands-on test; figures come from Yarbo and our product listings.

What Is Yarbo and How Does It Work?

The Core is a tracked, battery powered base with the navigation, cameras, motors and battery. Task modules clip onto the front, so the same robot becomes a lawn mower in summer, a leaf blower in fall and a two-stage snow blower in winter.

According to Yarbo, the Core navigates with RTK-GPS plus AI vision, an IMU and wheel odometry, which lets it follow mapped routes without a buried boundary wire. It returns to a wireless charging dock on its own, connects over 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi HaLow, and is rated for operation from -13°F to 113°F with IPX5 water resistance. The Core is also rated to tow up to 500 lbs and climb slopes up to 35° (70%), although the attached module can set a lower limit.

If you want the deeper story on how the modules swap, read our Yarbo modular system explainer. You can also check Yarbo's own overview on the official Yarbo website.

How Much Does Yarbo Cost in 2026?

Yarbo pricing depends on two choices: the platform (Y40 or Y40P) and how many modules you want. A complete system bundles the Core with one or more modules, and in our catalog a complete system costs less than buying the Core and the same module separately.

Configuration What is included Price
Y40 Snow Blower Robot Y40 Core + Snow Blower Module $4,899
Y40 Lawn Mower Pro Y40 Core + Lawn Mower Pro Module $4,899
Y40 Blower Robot Y40 Core + Blower Module $4,299
Y40 Mower Pro + Snow Blower Y40 Core + mowing and snow modules $6,499
Y40 Pro 5-in-1 Full Set Y40 Core + mower, snow, blower and trimmer modules $8,399
Y40P Snow Blower System Y40P Core + Snow Blower Module $7,099
Y40P Lawn Mower Pro System Y40P Core + Lawn Mower Pro Module $6,899
Y40 Core only Base robot, no task module $3,849

Already own a Core? Individual modules are sold separately: the Snow Blower Module ($2,000), the Lawn Mower Pro Module ($1,800), the Blower Module ($1,000) and the Trimmer Module ($1,200). Confirm your module generation and compatibility before ordering.

Yarbo Y40 vs Y40P: Which Platform Should You Buy?

The Y40P is the upgraded platform. Both use the same attachments, so the decision comes down to drive system, speed and how much work you want per charge. Yarbo's published comparison, with the relevant module installed:

Specification Y40 Y40P
Drive system Dual drive motors Gearbox-free dual hub motors
Max drive speed 0.65 m/s 1.2 m/s
Mowing per charge 0.25 acre 0.3 acre
Mowing coverage, twice weekly Up to 6 acres Up to 7 acres
Snow per charge (1 in of snow) Up to 6,000 sq ft Up to 7,000 sq ft

Choose the Y40 if you want the best value and your driveway or lawn fits comfortably inside its rated coverage. Choose the Y40P if you have a long driveway, a larger lawn, or you want fewer moving parts. Yarbo says the hub motor design removes gearbox upkeep and improves overall efficiency by roughly 15% versus the Y40.

What Can Each Yarbo Module Do?

Here is what each module is rated for, according to Yarbo's specifications:

  • Snow Blower Module: two-stage design, 24 in clearing width, 12 in intake height, and a throw distance of 6 to 40 ft. Snow clearing is rated for slopes up to 36% (20°), which is lower than the Core's general climbing rating. Our Yarbo snow blower review covers it in depth.
  • Lawn Mower Pro Module: dual 300 W cutting motors (2,500 W peak), a 20 in cutting width, 0.8 to 4.0 in cutting height, about 120 minutes of mowing per charge and rain detection.
  • Blower Module: rated at 174 MPH air velocity and 607 CFM from a 2,000 W motor, with about 70 minutes of runtime per charge.
  • Trimmer Module: autonomous string trimming along edges with 2 to 4 in cutting height and automatic line feed. It mounts to the Core through the included Back Brace Mount.

What Does Your Property Need Before You Buy?

The most common Yarbo regret is buying before checking the site. Before ordering, walk your property with these points in mind:

  • Measure the area you actually clear or mow, not your total lot size. Compare it to the per charge and weekly coverage figures above.
  • Check slopes. The Core is rated to 35°, but snow clearing is rated to 36% (20°).
  • Plan the dock and positioning spot. RTK-GPS works best with a clear view of the sky, so pick a spot away from heavy tree cover and tall walls.
  • Check access paths. Narrow gates and steps between zones can limit where the robot can travel.
  • Know the extras. Yarbo notes that some Core functions require a separately purchased Smart Assist Module.

Is Yarbo Worth It?

Yarbo is worth considering if three things are true: you deal with real snow every winter, you also maintain a sizable lawn, and you value getting your time back. Then one robot replaces several single purpose machines and works on a schedule.

It is a harder sell if you only need a small lawn mowed, live where snow is rare, or have a steep, heavily shaded property that limits RTK positioning. For a cost view over several years, see our illustrative 5-year Yarbo cost comparison.

Our take: the mower plus snow bundle offers the strongest balance of price and year-round use. Snow-only buyers can start with the Y40 Snow Blower Robot; large properties suit the Y40P.

Yarbo Review FAQ

How much does a Yarbo cost?

A complete Yarbo system starts with the Y40 Blower Robot at $4,299, and the full Y40 Pro 5-in-1 Full Set is $8,399. Y40P systems cost more for the upgraded drive. See the price table above for every configuration.

Is Yarbo worth the money?

For homes that need both mowing and snow clearing, a single modular robot can replace several machines and hours of seasonal work. For small lawns or snow-free regions, a single purpose robot mower is usually the better value.

What is the difference between Yarbo Y40 and Y40P?

The Y40P uses gearbox-free dual hub motors, drives up to 1.2 m/s versus 0.65 m/s, and is rated for more coverage per charge: up to 7 acres of twice weekly mowing and up to 7,000 sq ft of 1 inch snow per charge. Both accept the same modules.

Can one Yarbo mow the lawn and clear snow?

Yes. You swap the Lawn Mower Pro Module for the Snow Blower Module when the season changes, and the same Core, battery and dock do both jobs.

How big a yard can a Yarbo handle?

Yarbo rates the Y40 Lawn Mower Pro for up to 6 acres when mowing twice a week, and the Y40P for up to 7 acres. Real coverage depends on site conditions.

Does Yarbo need a perimeter wire?

No buried boundary wire is used. According to Yarbo, the robot follows mapped zones using RTK-GPS, vision cameras, an IMU and odometry, and avoids obstacles with cameras and bumper sensors.
